Please plan to attend our annual meeting on May 9th at 7pm in the band room. Boosters are encouraged to attend and vote on the budget and officers. ALL parents and legal guardians of the FHS Band students or junior high students who are currently participating in the FHS Band program are voting members of the boosters. If you are unavailable to attend this meeting information regarding absentee ballots will be forthcoming.
The proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year was sent to the emails of record for the band and guard students in the programs on April 8. If you did not receive this email, the proposed budget can be sent to you by request. Please direct your request and any related questions to [email protected] (Jennifer Sadler and Luci Van Valer). We will present this budget at the April 11th booster meeting (7pm in the band room) and vote on this budget at the May 9th booster meeting (7pm in the band room).
We would also like you to be aware that our fees (specifically for Marching Band, Winter Percussion and Winter Guard) will be lower than the proposed budget due to our fundraising efforts this year. We will know how much fees will be reduced in June. Also, note that we have almost doubled our scholarship program that is available for those having financial difficulties paying fees.
