2017-2018 FHS Band Booster Executive Board Slate

Senior President – Robin Heasley

I have a Senior for 2107-2018 and an 8th grader; both of them will be on the drumline.

I have served on the board as Vice President for the last year & half, before stepping in as Jr President this winter. I’ve seen my son develop as a leader and an incredible musician! I am in awe of what these kids can do!  I get to spend a lot of time with the kids in this program, I’m convinced that there cannot be another group of kids anywhere that exhibits the gratefulness and character as those of the Fishers High School Marching Tigers!!  These are the types of friends and families that I want my kids to spend their time with! An added bonus is all the new friends that my family has made!! Outside of band, I am a wife and I am married to an amazing man, Damon Heasley.  I am a mom, I also have a daughter that will be a junior in College at Harding University.  I am an Asst. Children’s Supervisor for Bible Study Fellowship, and when I get some free time I am an avid reader of scripture and Christian fiction.

Junior President- Bob Kantner

My name is Bob Kantner. I’m employed with Ascension Health as an IT Project Manager. My daughter Marissa is currently a sophomore and has been in fall and winter Color Guard the past 2 seasons. I have volunteered many hours on a variety of band functions the past 2 seasons. Most of my time was given to the Winter Guard program. I just completed serving 3 years as co-president for the Fishers Football Gridiron Club. I have also served as the city HS baseball league commissioner the past 5 seasons. I have been involved with Fishers High School since it’s opening by running the game clock for all football and boys’ and girls’ basketball games. I love the band programs as I feel it’s a great learning experience for our youth showing what you put into something the rewards can be great. The program also teaches nothing is gained without hard work. My main goal will be the same as my time with the gridiron, to make the students effort positive and an experience they will remember for a long time.

Junior Vice President – Anne Rollison

Hello parents, I am an Occupational Therapist employed with Kindred Healthcare. I have two daughters in the band program. One marches and plays clarinet and is in Winter Percussion, the other plays oboe and is in Color Guard. 2017-18 will be my fourth year involved in the band program. I have done the Band newsletter for the past two years and served on the Board this past year as the Junior Secretary. I have also worked at several band events over the last 3 years, including Invitationals, chaperone for Winter Guard and Marching Band, Mulch Sale committee and band meals.  I love that my kids love the band program and have so much fun while working hard. They spend time with great kids, have made great friends and are learning skills that will take them far in life. I would like to continue to serve the Boosters and contribute to the Bands’ growth and success.

Junior Secretary – Jess Hodge

My name is Jess Hodge.  I relocated to Fishers in 2015 to marry my teenage crush (ask me the story!).  I am a Regional Manager for Ayusa, a non-profit high school exchange student agency.  My son, Jeremiah, is finishing his first year as a Marching Tiger mellophone player.  I sing and play the piano; choir was my thing in high school.  I have served as secretary on church boards/committees, been elementary PTO president, and secretary for a housing development governing board in the past, in addition to various jobs in office administration.  I love the camaraderie of the marching band family, as well as the discipline it’s instilling in my teenager.  My goal is to serve the boosters with my time and skills, but also to make some good friends.

Senior Secretary – Molly Mudra

Hello, my name is Molly Mudra.  My oldest daughter, Allison, is a Freshman and plays the baritone in the marching band as well as in pep band, jazz band and the Symphonic Red band.  During this first year as a band Mom, I have volunteered for various activities (invitational, band concerts, football chaperone, band camp tent, mulch, etc) which has allowed me to better know the Booster organization and its members.  In addition to band booster participation, I have served on my neighborhood’s HOA board as well as the PTO Exec Board at Lantern Road Elementary School.  There are many things I love about the Fishers HS bands, but the most important is the joy, confidence and personal growth that I have seen in my daughter as a result of her participation!  My goal as a Band Booster Board member is to support the directors, staff and students as we build upon the success of this amazing program.

Junior Treasurer – Jennifer Myers

Hello Band Parents…My name is Jennifer Myers and my daughter, Sydney, began marching as an 8th grade Cadet – and what an eye opener that was for Mom and Dad – we really had no concept of the time and dedication she would be putting into the program.  I can tell you that she LOVES it – not only marching band, but all aspects of the FHS Music Program as she plays in concert band and jazz band and ensemble.  This will be our 3rd season as BAND PARENTS – and, I think, now we look forward to it as much as she does due to the outstanding fellow parents we hang out with during a big chunk of the summer and early fall.  I have helped in Secret Buddies, Spirit Wear and most recently, the Mulch Fundraiser.  By day, I am the Treasurer of a heavy, highway specialty construction contractor and have been with them since early 2000.   Thank you for your consideration.

Junior Student Accounts – Barb Furniss

Hi! I’m Barb Furniss, hoping to be your next Junior Student Accounts representative. Both of my sons participate in Marching Band and Winter Percussion, as percussionists. This is my fourth year being involved as a Booster, in which I have co-chaired several events with my husband, Dan.  I am currently co-chairing this year’s Hollywood Trip, and this will be our fourth year chairing the Annual Pool Party!  Other chaired events include the 2015 Philly/NYC Trip and 2016’s Car Wash fundraiser.  Previously, I’ve served on The Muncie Children’s Museum Guild Board and Bowling’s Karate Kountry Board, both as Treasurer.  I love how the band program has helped shape my boys into the young men they’ve become, in addition to the quality life-long relationships they’ve formed. As your Junior Student Accounts representative, I hope to strengthen the unification of the Boosters and our Board.
