NEWBIE CAMP, PERCUSSION CAMP AND BAND CAMP #1
ALL CAMPS are Mandatory, however we understand that you might have preschedule plans before joining marching band. Per the Marching Band Handbook, you MUST email the Marching band Director, Chad Kohler at [email protected] of any known conflicts.
Percussion camp
June 13, 14 and 15. 1-5PM
NEW – Leadership Team Meeting
June 14 & 15, 10AM-12PM (Lunch will be provided at Noon)
New member camp (Woodwinds and brass only) Including drum majors and section leaders.
June 14 and 15 – 1-5 PM
June band camp
- Week one – June 18-22 2-8PM
- Week two – June 25-29 2-8PM
- FRIDAY JUNE 29 – PICNIC 6PM-8PM
- Parade day – June 30
- 430PM – LARGE INSTRUMENTS DRUMS/ TUBAS LOAD TRUCK AT 430PM
- 545PM – ALL MEMBERS MEET AT DESIGNATED PARADE CHECKPOINT (TBD ONCE I RECEIVE MATERIAL FROM SPARK!FISHERS)
- 7PM – PARADE – the calendar says this event ends at 10 however we should be done no later than 9
For ALL the camps please bring the following:
- Three ring binder
- pencil (winds and percussion)
- sunscreen
- large Water Jug (pre filled with tons of ice and water)
- Healthy snacks
- Sunglasses,
- Hat,
- Athletic style comfortable clothing (NO JEANS OR JEAN SHORTS)
- Athletic Shoes with CLEAN SOCKS
MUSIC
Mr. McCready will be posting Movement 1 2 music on CUT-TIME within the next few days. PLEASE get familiar with the CUT-TIME site and go to Files/Docs as you’ll find all the necessary music, mp3’s, videos there.
Again, I can’t stress enough that you MUST email me if you have conflicts…. As of right now we are counting on YOU as our drill writer has already begun writing our visual production with YOU on the team. Every time someone drops out we then you are charged $250 for a drill re-write fee.
