OCTOBER 6, 2025 – 7:00PM

a. Orlando Trip Scholarship Support
i. 14-20 kids weren’t going to be able to go on the trip. We raised 23,000 for
scholarships through a fundraising drive.
ii. Paid music travel $37,000
1. $23,000 from fundraising drive, $14,000 from the band boosters
that will be paid back as loans.

4. Fundraising Updates
a. SnapRaise – $33,500
b. Craft Fair – $8,764.81 after expenses
c. Invitational – $27,633.51 after expenses (may still be a couple left to pay)
d. Personal and Booster NPO Concession – On-going $7,800 so far to general band
fund
i. Sign up for personal fundraising opportunities so we don’t lose them
(Lucas Oil, Conner Prairie, Fairgrounds)

e. Dine to Donate – $264.04 (Cluster Truck and Noble Roman’s payments
outstanding)
f. Texas Roadhouse Gift Cards – Forms will go out End of October, return forms
November, cards delivered at winter concert

a. Trunk or Treat – Instead of Trunk or Treat – SKIP IT, possibly do goody bags for
that Friday (Halloween)

7. Director’s Report
a. Mr. Gardner – Concert at 7pm. Intermediate Jazz, Symphonic Bands, Advanced
Jazz, Marching Band. All band members will be staying so they can complete an
assignment for their class and get exposure to the higher level bands. Kids will
stay in orchestra and band room to watch. Kids need ipad/laptop for their
assignments. 2 days before fall break will be more reflective assignments in
class. Cadets can come to perform in concert – 7:45pm. Wear black. All bands
are playing 2 pieces each.

b. Mr. Kohler – Thank you for helping with the craft fair and invitational! Judges
loved our show. We got feedback from BOA finalist judges who were here
judging. Orlando will have competitive bands and the goal is for as much
feedback as possible! This will be the toughest competition at Grand Nats in the
past 8 years. 6 weeks left in the season – we’ve never had this much show ready
at this point. Trip Meeting Wednesday Night – kids will meet chaperones, get
phone # of chaperone, music travel will be here, give any medications to
chaperone. Guard is rehearsing Wednesday 3:15-6:00pm before the meeting.

a. Trip Meeting – Wednesday 10/8/25 – 7:00pm
i. Matt Bertasso will record meeting for those that can’t make it and make
link available.

11. Other Committee Reports
a. Food – kids have been fed, thank you for donations!
b. Uniform – Laundry week! Please wash uniforms and bring them back this
Saturday.
c. Social Media – Box5 show clip has gone viral, more than 500,000 views!
d. Spirit Wear – Pickup your show shirts after meeting. You can order general fishers
gear any time.
e. Sponsorship – Texas Roadhouse $30 for $25/$5 bonus card that can be used at
Texas Roadhouse/Bubba’s/Jagger’s. We get $7.50 from every gift card sold!
Giftcards don’t expire, bonus cards expire in June of 2026. We will try to
schedule a dine to donate after gift cards have arrived.
f. Props and Equipment – Police officers were amazed at how many people were at
the invitational! Prop work night on Tuesday to paint props. Please help unload
props on the Monday after Orlando!
g. Section Parents
h. Christmas Ornaments are available to order, will be picked up at the winter
concert. Any ornaments from last year that still need to be picked up will be
available as well
