FISHERS BAND BOOSTERS MEETING MINUTES

January 12, 2026 – 7:00pm

 

  1. Call Meeting to Order – Meeting started at 7:05pm
  2. Board Actions
    • Dinner at BOA Grand Nats was approved by board
    • By-Law Revision Recommendation
      1. Article II; Section III (Board Member Eligibility) – Board member may continue to serve their term as long as their students has participated in at least one season of a Band Program (extracurricular or class) during each year of the member’s term.
      2. Article VI; Section II (Unbudgeted Expenses) – Any unbudgeted expense in excess of $1000 shall require prior approval of the Executive Board by a vote at a meeting or electronic vote.
  3. Fundraising Updates
    • SnapRaise for Winter Guard and Winter Percussion
    • Spring Flower Fundraiser – variety of baskets, ordering would be the 2 weeks before spring break, flower delivery to FHS would be in May – any interest?
  4. Financial as of 11/9/2025
    • December Income: 45,284.86, Expense: $39,040.50, Difference: $6244.36
    • YTD (June 1) Income: $502,431.07 Expense: $463,863.89 Difference: +$38,567.18
  5. Student Accounts – Collected as of November 1st – 88%
    • Current Marching Band Fully Paid: 92%
    • Current Winter Season Fully Paid as of 1/1: 37%    Up to date: 63%
  6. Discussion
    • Nominations for Exec Board
      1. If interested in being on the board, reach out to the vice presidents. You can ask questions to any current board members.
    • Concerts 
      1. Chamber Concert February 10th at 7pm
  7. Director’s Report
    • Color guard/Winter Percussion/Jazz Band/Wind Ensemble/Show Choir Band are all running. 
    • February 10th at 7pm is the Chamber Concert – free concert, come support the different groups!
    • In December the directors met up with the design team at Midwest Clinic. Good opportunity to connect with other staff from different schools. 
    • Jazz Band heading to the Purdue Jazz Festival
    • Guard and Percussion heading out soon for winter season

      1. Any winter guard parents that can act as winter photographer, reach out to Ann-Marie Rohe or Liz Chandler
